With the partial easing of the extended lockdown norms, state-run Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) resumed normal operations with staggered shifts in this aerospace hub, the defence behemoth said on Friday.
"In compliance with the Ministry of Home Affairs'' safety guidelines, we have resumed normal operations and adopted the standard operating procedure (SOP), including staggered shifts, suspension of biometric attendance and sanitisation of all work areas," said the city-based firm in a statement.
The company has also designed and developed a pedal-based hands-free sanitizer dispenser for hygiene at work place and on shop floor.
"We have distributed masks and gloves to all the employees and made wearing them mandatory. Their work places and tools are disinfected. Hand sanitisers are kept at entry and common areas in offices/workplaces," said the statement.
Thermal screening for body temperature of all employees is done at the entry points.
"We have an IT platform for video conferencing and online applications (e-filing) to minimise physical interaction. Health advisories and posters on hygiene practices are put up at various locations," said the official.
Awareness sessions on Covid-19 pandemic are conducted at all divisions and offices. The situation is being monitored and efforts are on to ensure business continuity.
