Back pain is now a common condition. It affects every second person. It’s not only the elderly who are affected, but also many people younger than 60 are experiencing it. The main cause of pain is prolonged sitting. We have simple ways to get rid of it naturally.
It is used in cooking and as a pain relief agent. Here’s how to use it:
i) Apply ginger paste to the affected area. Followed by eucalyptus oils.
ii.Cut 4 to 6 thin slices from fresh ginger root. Boil the mixture on low heat for about 10 to 15 minutes. Let the mixture cool to room temperature before straining it. Then add honey to the mixture and drink it. This ginger tea can be drunk two to three times daily for a few days, or until you notice improvement.
iii. You can make a herbal tea using one-half teaspoon black pepper corns, one half teaspoon cloves and one teaspoon ginger powder.
Basil leaves are also a great option for back pain.
i) Add 8-10 basil leaves to a cup of water, and boil the water until it evaporates to half.
iii) Allow it to cool to room temperature, then add a pinch salt.
iii. For mild pain, you can drink the concoction daily once; for severe pain, it should be taken twice daily.
As a remedy for backache, poppy seeds are a miracle worker.
i) Mix 1 cup of each poppy seeds (khus-khus) or rock candy (misri) together.
ii) Take two teaspoons of the mixture twice daily and then drink a glass of milk.
