adidas, the sportswear giant, has opened its first flagship store here in India. Connaught Place is the home of ‘The Home of Possibilities,’ a store that embodies the future of retail for Indian consumers. It’s located in the heart of India.
The store is spread over 5,900 square feet of retail space on 4 floors. Its concept was inspired by the brand’s “OWN THE GAME” strategy, which focuses on 3 key aspects: Experience, Sustainability, Credibility.
The Flagship adidas store in CP provides a unique technological experience for customers. The store has 32 digital touch points that are powered by green electricity. It also features immersive screens, digital plinths, and ceiling screens for customers to enjoy a superior digital shopping experience.
The storeflooring is made from recycled carbon tiles, which are made from carbon taken from the environment. This is the first LEED-certified adidas store in the nation.
The flagship store features a dedicated “Sustainability Zone” in keeping with adidas’ long-term vision. The zone displays adidas’ most sustainable collection and features the End Plastic Waste logo.
adidas is committed to women and has made the flagship store more inclusive. Products and the shopping experience have been designed to encourage movement and support women in their fitness and sport journeys.
Sunil Gupta Senior Director, Brand adidas India, commented on the launch of the new flagship store. “We are thrilled that we opened our first flagship store here in India, in the heart if the capital – CP. “The Home of Possibilities” is our best brand, bringing together a global shopping experience in one place. We want to reinvent the phygital experience by bringing innovation, creativity, and design to our customers. This will further enhance their shopping experience. Local flavours and elements have been introduced through artwork in store, customisation zones, and zones featuring national athletes.
In keeping with the Indian spirit, the flagship store features a section for Customization Personalization & Localization. The Delhi Print Shop gives customers a unique digital DIY experience that allows them to personalize and customize their tees in real-time. This store features a few unique elements from India and Delhi, as well as artist collaborations.
With a skylight ceiling, the store will feature a dedicated Outdoor collection zone for hikers and trail runners. This space will house the Originals section of the ‘Collection’ concept, along with a Men’s performance section and a Basketball section. A special floor in the store is dedicated to football, featuring a digital shoe wall, victory mannequin and lit crest as well as LED field lines.
The brand’s Sport Performance apparel and shoes will be available to customers. Shoppers can also find the most recent Original designs and collaborations, including YEEZY and adidas by Stella McCartney, Y-3, and IVY PARK.
