According to the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(Africa CDC), there were 11403,955 confirmed Covid-19 cases in Africa.
According to the specialized healthcare agency of the African Union, the death toll on the continent is now at 252,048. Some 10,781,861 people have been cured of the disease as of Saturday evening, Xinhua reported.
Africa CDC said that South Africa, Morocco and Tunisia are among the top five countries in Africa with the highest Covid-19 rates.
South Africa had the highest number (over 3,755,459) of Covid-19 cases in Africa, followed by Morocco (1164,597) as of Saturday night.
According to the Africa CDC, the most affected area in terms of caseload is southern Africa, followed by the eastern and northern parts of the continent. Central Africa is the least affected.
