Africa’s Covid cases exceed 8.41 million

ADDIS ABABA OCT 16 – As of Friday afternoon, there were 8,414,571 confirmed Covid-19 cases in Africa, according to the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention.

According to Xinhua, the Africa CDC (specialised healthcare agency of African Union) said that the death toll due to the pandemic on the continent is 215,042, Xinhua reported.

According to the agency, 7,786,325 people have been treated for the disease across the continent.

According to the agency, South Africa, Morocco and Tunisia are the countries with the highest number of cases on the continent.

According to the Africa CDC, the most affected area in terms of caseload is southern Africa, followed by the eastern and northern parts of the continent. Central Africa is the least affected part of the continent.
