After splitting from sister Halle, R&B star Chloe has released her debut single, “Have Mercy”

Chloe Bailey of R&B sister duo Chloe x Halle released her debut single ‘Have Mercy” on Friday.

Chloe shared the announcement on her Instagram with a peek at the music video. In the caption she wrote, “booty big, have mercy video now, watch it.” The sisters set up separate social media accounts earlier this year to announce “so many exciting events coming”. This is the first solo song from the 23-year-old Grammy-nominated Chloe’s upcoming debut album, which will be released on Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia.

“I’m making my own path, and paying tribute to those who have inspired me. It’s been fun finding my voice,” Chloe said to Billboard about her solo musical endeavor.

Chloe will perform ‘Have Mercy’ at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards, September 12, in its television debut performance.

The R&B sisters began acting in small roles at a young age. They moved from Mableton in Georgia to Los Angeles in 2012, and have since continued their acting careers. They began sharing music covers on YouTube. BeyoncA(c) became their mentor and signed them to Parkwood Entertainment. The EP “Sugar Symphony” and the mixtape “The Two of Us” were released by them.

After appearing on the sitcom Grown-ish,’ they released their debut album The Kids Are Alright’. They were nominated for two Grammy Awards. They released their second studio album, ‘Ungodly Hour,’ in 2020 to great critical acclaim. This earned them three Grammy Award nominations.
