According to media reports, with the consent of his wife Jaya Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan gifted his bungalow named ‘Pratiksha’ in Vithal Nagar Cooperative Housing Society Limited, Juhu, to his daughter Shweta Bachchan on November 8, 2023. Notably, ‘Pratiksha’ is built on two plots, with one covering 9,585 square feet jointly owned by Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan. The other plot, measuring 7,255 square feet, is solely owned by Amitabh.
The deed for the house has been signed by Amitabh and Jaya, with a registration and stamp duty cost of ₹50.65 lakhs. The market value of the bungalow is estimated at ₹50.63 crores, although this figure is yet to be officially confirmed by the Bachchan family, who have not made any official announcements regarding this.
In Mumbai, Amitabh Bachchan is the owner of three bungalows – Pratiksha, Jalsa, and Janak. Jalsa is where Amitabh resides, and it is also the place where he often interacts with his fans outside. The family celebrates all festivals in this bungalow.
Regarding Amitabh Bachchan’s work front, he was recently seen in the film “Ganpat” starring Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon. However, the film did not perform well at the box office. Prior to this, Amitabh Bachchan made a cameo appearance in son Abhishek Bachchan’s movie “Ghoomar.” Amitabh is set to appear in the movie “2898,” alongside Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, and Disha Patani, directed by Nag Ashwin and scheduled for release next year.
