Anand Mahindra tweets Ajay Devgn’s ‘Phool Aur Kaante’ stunt to advertise

Bollywood star Ajay devgn recreated his famous ‘Phool Aur Kaante’ split stunt for an advertisement, but used trucks rather than the bikes on which he performed it.

His debut film, Phool Aur Kane, was released in 1991. It featured Ajay standing on two motorcycles while balancing. Similar stunts were repeated in many films, including ‘Son of Sardaar’ and ‘De De Pyaar De’.

Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra Group, posted the video to his Twitter account and wrote: “30 Years ago, in his first Bollywood film, Phool Aur Kaante. @ajaydevgn performed the original master act, which is the split. He does it again for Mahindra. You can find more …” in this video. Among others, ‘Phool Aur Kaante’ stars Madhoo and Aruna Irani as well as Jagdeep and Amrish puri. This film was remade as “Varasudu” in Telugu. This film loosely takes inspiration from the Malayalam film “Parampara” directed by Sibi Malayil, where Mammooty is a double role.
