Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has accused Israel of being responsible for the bombing of the Gaza Strip in a recent social media post. She stated that Israel is to blame for the bombings that have left the trapped population of Gaza with no place to escape. Gaza has been like an open prison for nearly two decades, and mass graves are being rapidly dug. She further mentioned that 40% of the casualties are innocent children, and the world is watching as the governments of several countries, with the support of global leaders, impose collective punishment on Palestinian citizens, which is inhumane.
Angelina Jolie emphasized that international law guarantees everyone the right to food, medicine, and humanitarian aid. However, these rights are not being upheld for the people of Gaza, and global leaders are also responsible for ignoring the call for a ceasefire.
She is not the only one concerned about the situation in Gaza. Other notable figures like Justin Bieber, Gal Gadot, and Dwayne Johnson have also expressed their worries about the conflict.
The Israeli Defense Forces claimed to have surrounded Gaza City from all sides and conducted continuous attacks on Hamas’ locations. It is important to note that Israel had initially warned residents of northern Gaza to evacuate to the southern part of the territory, but a significant number of people still remain in the area despite the warnings.
