At Jaipur airport, customs seize 280g of gold worth more than Rs 14 lakhs

On Thursday, the Customs officials seized Rs 14 lakh worth of gold from a Jaipur International Airport passenger.
According to an official statement, the passenger arrived in Jaipur via Sharjah Air Arabia flight.

Three solid cylindrical cylindrical rods of fine golden were discovered in his checked-in luggage.
The statement stated that the smuggled gold, which collectively weighed 288.430g and was valued at Rs 14.21960, was recovered. It was seized pursuant to the Customs Act, 1962.
The matter is currently under investigation.
