Currently, Chinese President Xi Jinping is on a visit to the United States. During his first meeting in the past year, on Wednesday (November 15), a high-level summit was held in California, where the American President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping shook hands. Both leaders pledged to keep their countries away from conflict.
In recent years, China and the United States have faced various disputes, especially deteriorating relations over Taiwan in recent years. During the meeting of the leaders of both countries, discussions were held on trade, sanctions, and private talks about Taiwan. They also discussed issues that have kept relations tense between the two countries for years.
Biden, in his speech, emphasized that tension should not turn into conflict. He stated that the talks should always be clear, direct, and constructive, and leaders should understand each other without misunderstandings. It is crucial to ensure that competition does not turn into conflict.

For large countries like China and the United States, turning away from each other is not an option. The success of both countries is essential for the world. It is noteworthy that the last personal meeting between Biden and Xi took place in Bali in November 2022. After that, relations soured in February this year following the alleged killing of a Chinese spy by the United States.
