JP Duminy is a former South Africa batter who has been appointed head coach of Boland provincial side on a 2-year deal.
Duminy was previously a consultant in batting to the Lions franchise, and briefly for the national men’s team at the T20 World Cup.
“I feel very nervous, excited and all these emotions are coming up. After playing, it’s an amazing opportunity to enter the coaching world. Boland is very dear to my heart. It has been on the same road for many decades and, playing for Cobras [in the franchise system]”We spent a lot more time down in Boland,” Duminy stated, according to ESPNcricinfo.

“The Boland people mean a lot and I hope this is an opportunity to get out in the community and bring the team closer to them and the people. I want to be an integral part of that, and help the players understand what it means for them to represent the community. This is a huge part of Boland, and it extends beyond Paarl. “That’s a big deal for me,” he said.
Duminy, who was a South African cricketer, retired following the 2019 World Cup. He played 46 Tests and 199 ODIs. Boland appointed Duminy because he spent his entire career in the Western Cape. He has a deep understanding of the area’s cricketing landscape and good relationships with many players.
“Man-management is his greatest strength. He is a great example for others. Boland Cricket CEO James Fortuin stated that he is an experienced player and can bring a lot to the job.
Duminy is now a former international player coach in the top league.
