CM Bommai meets Yediyurappa for Vijayadashami wishes

BENGALURU, OCT 15 : Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai met B.S. Yediyurappa visited the residence of B.S. on Friday to send him a greeting on the occasion Vijayadashami. Bommai garlanded and asked for his blessings.

Bommai stated that he would campaign for byelections starting October 17. He said that he had spoken with Yediyurappa about the by-elections. “He will campaign from October 20 onwards,” Bommai stated.

He commented on the secret meeting between Yediyurappa, Siddaramaiah and said that Yediyurappa had given clarifications. Both leaders clarified that they had not met and the matter is over.

Bommai declined to comment on Siddaramaiah’s criticism of his statement about moral policing incidents in Dakshina Kannada state’s district.

Bommai will perform ‘Nandi Dhwaja Puja’ at the Balarama Gate in Mysuru Palace to inaugurate the Dasara procession “Jumbo Savari” between the ‘auspicious times’ of 4.36 and 4.46 p.m. Bommai will also pay tribute to the Chamundeshwari idol in the howdah.

The Vijayadashami parade will be launched at 5.30 p.m., in the presence Royal Scion Yaduveer Krishnadutta Charamaraja Wadiyar and District Minister S.T. Somashekar and Mayor Sunanada Palanetra will be present.
