This gang, along with a beautiful girl, used to implicate rich people in lucrative things through Facebook and social media. After this, the girls used to call their victims to the rented flat, where the members of this gang used to raid as fake policemen. After this the game of blackmailing was started. The police have arrested three accused of this gang, while the accused named Honeypreet is absconding.
The Special Staff of Outer District Delhi has arrested three accused Pawan alias Ghanshyam, Manjeet and Deepak. Actually, a Delhi businessman had filed a case at Paschim Vihar police station. In this, the complainant had alleged that he was honey-trapped by a gang in Delhi and blackmailed him to take 1.5 lakh rupees. After the complaint, the police was looking for this gang.
A special team was formed to nab this gang under the supervision of DCP Outer District. The police team deployed informers. The police searched and raided the blackmailing flat’s address, but the accused were absconding. The owner of the flat was interrogated, which led to the identification of a suspected accused, Pawan. After this, the police caught and arrested three accused from near the fire station of Jwala-Hedi Market in Paschim Vihar, Delhi.
During interrogation, the accused told that they are all residents of Haryana. Pawan is the king-pin of the syndicate, who met Neeraj, the master of honey-trap cases in Bahadurgarh. Neeraj was arrested in a case of honey-trap in police station Paschim Vihar East. Pawan learned the methods of honey-trap from him. After this he came in contact with a girl named Honeypreet on Facebook. After this everyone together formed a syndicate. After this rented a flat in Paschim Vihar Delhi. After this Honeypreet created an ID on social media. She used to chat with rich people. He had created this ID in the name of Ritu Bansal. Honeypreet spoke to the complainant over video chat and persuaded her to meet him at his flat.
After this, when the complainant reached his flat, after some time his gang members came to raid as fake police. In this, Manjeet was wearing the uniform of a sub-inspector and the other two were his subordinates. Honeypreet was also trained in the same way as the real police has raided and a police case is being registered against her. After this, Honeypreet requested to give money to the fake policemen to cover up the case. During the investigation of this entire case, the uniform of the police sub-inspector was recovered on the behest of Manjeet alias Mandeep. Police is conducting raids to arrest the absconding accused Honeypreet.
