Chhichhore starring the late actor Sushant Rajput won the Best Hindi Feature Film award at today’s 67th National Film Awards ceremony. Nitesh Tiwari, director of Chhichhore, was awarded the honor and dedicated the award in his honour to Sushant Singh Rajput.
Nitesh Tiwari spoke out about Sushant Singh Rajput and said that the actor made them proud. “Sushant is an integral component of our film. He made us proud. This award is dedicated to him.
Sajid Nadiadwala (film’s producer) posted on Instagram that March, when the award was announced. He wrote: “On behalf of NGE, I dedicate this extremely prestigious prize to Sushant Singh Rajput. Although we can’t bear to see him again, I am grateful that the award brings some comfort to his loved ones and his fans. Nitesh Tiwari is a tremendously generous person who gave us this movie.
Chhichhore premiered on September 6, 2019. Shraddha Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput starred in the film, which was their first screen time together. Varun Sharma, Prateik Babar, Sidharth Narayan and Tahir Raj Bhasin were also part of the film. Prashant Narayanan, Prashant Pandey, Prateik Babbar and Prashant Nagendran played supporting roles. Chhichhore was a commercially profitable film that crossed the Rs100-crore threshold.
The star cast and crew celebrated the first anniversary last September of Chhichhore and remembered Sushant Singh Rajput, its star star. In June 2013, the actor passed away. Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Sharma, along with Nitesh Tiwari, took to social media to express their deepest condolences for the actor’s passing.
