Model Emily Ratajkowski has spoken out about the incident she claims Robin Thicke had groped her while filming his music video for ‘Blurred Lines.
People magazine quoted her as saying that she was an unrecognized model. If she had complained or spoken up, she wouldn’t be where she is today. She would not be well-known. Ratajkowski made the claim in her forthcoming book, “My Body”. She said her perspective has changed over the years as she has grown and matured.
She said, “I wrote a book on the evolution of my politics. It includes many different experiences from my career as well as my life. And the way I feel and think about these experiences.
“I hope that people will be able to understand the nuance behind these situations and read the essay.” The 2013 video that featured Ratajkowski topless with Pharrell Williams, Thicke and Thicke made her famous.
Femalefirst.co.uk reports that the actress and model claimed the rocker was drunk when they allegedly grabbed her breasts while on set.
She wrote, “Suddenly, out-of-the-blue, I felt the coolness, foreignness, and warmth of someone else’s hands touching my naked breasts from behind. I instinctively turned my back to Robin Thicke and moved away.
“He smiled a silly grin and stumbled backwards, his eyes hidden behind his sunglasses. My eyes shifted to the darkness beyond the set. (The director) Diane Martel cracked her voice as she shouted to me, “Are you okay?” She continued, “I shoved my chin forward, shrugged, and felt the heat of humiliation rush through my body. I didn’t react, not really, and not like I should. Diane confirmed that she was present at the incident and wrapped the shoot immediately.
In an interview, she said that she remembers the moment he grabbed her breasts. One in each. As they stood in profile, he was behind her. In my Brooklyn accent, I shouted, “What the f*** is your doing?” The shoot was over! The shoot is over!
