Google has introduced the Notes feature to provide users with content related to human experiences during Google searches. Currently, this feature has been rolled out in the US and India. Under this feature, when you search for a subject, you will have the option to add notes to articles, and you can also view notes added by other users. Through the Notes feature, you can share your experiences with others.

To access the Notes feature, you need to go to the Google app, click on the ‘Search Lab’ option appearing in the top left, and from here, you can enable Notes On Search. Once enabled, whenever you search for a topic, you will have the option to add notes to it or view notes added by others.
Google mentioned that they observed people’s interest in knowing what others are saying about a given web page. Therefore, the company has integrated Notes with existing web content, allowing users to see human experiences in search results, changing their browsing experience.
You can like, share, and save someone else’s notes under this new feature. This enables you to reach the experiences of others to those who may find them useful. Additionally, you can report a note. Google is working on removing inappropriate content with the help of its algorithms and user feedback, ensuring the safety of notes.
It’s worth mentioning that Google ranks your notes based on the subject. The more relevant your note is to the topic, the higher it will appear to others on Google.
Note that the Notes option will only be available in certain topics like food, fashion, and other soft topics. In sensitive topics such as health, politics, civics, etc., this option will not be available.
