Google’s folding Pixel phone gets postponed

Google’s foldable Pixel smartphone may have been delayed again, without a firm launch date. According to The Elec’s report, Google might have delayed the launch of its foldable Pixel smartphone because it wasn’t as complete as they wanted.
Google isn’t the first to have heard about this. GSM Arena reports that sources suggest that Google was in discussions with Samsung Display over the Notepad.
Google has omitted to mention the foldable Pixel smartphone during this year’s Google I/O. It had been speculated for months. The same foldable device can be called the “Pixel Notepad”, which could retail for around USD 1,400.

Google’s decision to cancel parts for its foldable device is evident. DSCC reported that sources indicated that Google didn’t believe the product was sufficiently competitive.
Samsung has already started mass production of components for its new foldable phones, such as the Galaxy Z Fold4 or Z Flip4, with a goal of shipping 15,000,000 units by the end.
The Samsung Display panel should be used for the Pixel Notepad. It has a 7.57-inch main display and a 5.78 inch external display. This panel uses Samsung’s Ultra-Thin Glass structure.
