The Israeli military claims to have entered Gaza’s Al-Shifa Hospital, alleging the discovery of a command center and weapons inside. Hamas has dismissed these allegations as “lies and cheap propaganda.” The Israeli military spokesperson, Daniel Haggai, stated that during the search, they found intelligence-gathering equipment, military gear, and various weapons inside the hospital premises. He further mentioned the discovery of an operational headquarters, indicating a connection with Hamas.

The Israeli military released a video showing automatic weapons, explosives, and jackets found inside an unidentified building within the hospital compound. Haggai argued that these findings suggest that Al-Shifa Hospital was being used to spread terrorism.
Following the search operation, the Israeli military sent aid supplies to the patients admitted to Al-Shifa Hospital. They emphasized the humanitarian aspect of their assistance, stating that while Hamas exploits Gaza’s residents for its existence, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) provides humanitarian aid to reduce civilian casualties.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented on the situation, asserting that there is no place in Gaza where the Israeli military cannot reach. He pledged to reach Hamas and bring back Israeli citizens held captive by the group.
The incident has sparked controversy, with conflicting narratives between the Israeli military and Hamas regarding the use of Al-Shifa Hospital.
