Kangana Ranaut, a Bollywood actress, said that Hollywood’s global influence had affected the French, German, and Italian film industries.
Kangana visited the capital to promote the film ‘Thalaivii,’ which was released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on Friday. The film is about J. Jayalalithaa who was the Tamil Nadu Chief minister for more than 14 years.
Kangana advised film exhibitors to not be affected by Hollywood to the point that they stop supporting regional cinemas. She stated that Hollywood is trying to take over other industries like it has done to other industries. We need to encourage regional cinema, and promote dubbed versions in Malayalam, Tamil, Punjabi or other languages of films. This is not just about showing the dubbed versions ‘Jungle Book’ and ‘Lion King’. This will be our contribution towards the making of “Atmanirbhar Bharat.” Kangana answered a question about the one trait she admires in the late leader by saying that her greatest attribute was her determination. This allowed her to take on challenges and become the chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
