Leslie Odom Jr. and Audra McDonald will host the Tony Awards and ‘Broadway’s back’ concerts

Leslie Odom Jr, actor of ‘Carousel”, and Audra McDonald, actress of ‘Hamilton”, will share the emcee duties for the Tony Awards and the special celebration that celebrates all things Broadway that will be held in conjunction with the annual award presentation.

Odom will host “The Tony Awards Present: Broadway’s Back”, a special that will feature a concert featuring Broadway stars performing classics on stage. Special performances will be given by the three Tony-nominated best music contenders, which includes ‘Jagged Little Pill,’ and ‘Moulin Rouge! The Musical’ and Tina – The Tina Turner Musical. The Tony Awards will be presented live, and include best play, best revival, and best musical. Variety.com reports that this presentation will take place.

McDonald’s will host the live presentation of most of the Tony Awards, which includes the prizes for top acting categories. Paramount+ will exclusively stream the event.

Odom stated, “Broadway is part of my DNA.
