Blackpink’s Lisa, a member of K-pop girl band Blackpink, is making her solo debut with her single album “Lalisa”, which was released Friday.
The singer shared the news via Instagram, writing “Lisa’s first single album ‘Lalisa” The 24-year-old singer has released two songs, including the title track, ‘Lalisa,’ and another titled ‘Money. Teddy and Bekuh Boom composed the title track to ‘Lalisa.
Lisa is the third Blackpink member to release solo material. Jennie was the first to release her single, appropriately titled “Solo”, in 2018. RosA(c), following in March 2021, released her project ‘R-‘. It featured the Billboard Global 200, and Billboard Global Excl. US No. 1 smash ‘On The Ground’ and “Gone”.
According to Billboard.com, Jisoo will make her solo debut as the last member of the quartet.
Blackpink, a South Korean girl band, was formed by YG Entertainment. It consists of Jennie, RosA(c), Lisa, and Jisoo. Their debut album, ‘Square One,’ was released in August 2016. It featured the singles ‘Whistle and ‘Boombayah, their first number one entries on South Korea’s Gaon Digital Charts and the Billboard World Digital Song Sales charts.
Lisa will perform “Lalisa” on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Friday.
