J.P. Nadda, president of Bharatiya Janata Party, will be in Manipur for a two-day visit. He will take stock of party’s poll readiness.
According to reports, Nadda will be conducting a series meetings during his visit to assess the situation on ground.
Manipur’s assembly elections are set to take place in February-March 2019.
Anil Baluni, BJP’s national media chief, said that the chief of BJP will be in Manipur for a two-day visit beginning Saturday (October 9, 2021). He will participate in several important programmes, and guide the BJP state unit heads and karyakartas on various issues. Sambit Patra, the party’s national spokesperson and state in-charge Sambit Patra has already visited the northeastern state ahead of Nadda visiting. He will review preparations before Nadda visits.
N. Biren Singh, Manipur Chief Minister, posted a tweet saying: “Met @sambitswaraj ji and Prabhari BJP Manipur today to discuss the preparations for @JPNadda Ji’s visit in Manipur on September 9th and October 10th.” A party official said that Nadda would participate in several party programs and help party workers during his two-day visit. Nadda will meet with different state leaders and get feedback. Nadda will have lunch at Utlou’s booth president on October 9, after he has reached Imphal. Later, he will address a crowd there.
Nadda will be meeting the core committee of BJP Manipur in the evening. Nadda will be meeting the core committee members and the MLAs of the state BJP.
Nadda will be visiting the Imphal residences of Rajya Sabha MP, the King of Manipur and Maharaja Leishemba Sanajaoba, BJP leader.
Nadda will also inaugurate Imphal’s newly constructed office of the state BJP.
At the City convention center in the capital, he will meet with notable personalities and dignitaries who are experts in education, science, technology, and entrepreneurship.
