Nawaz, a Pak spinner, tests positive for Covid-19 before NZ series

Mohammad Nawaz, Pakistan’s left-arm spin-bowing all-rounder, has been positive for Covid-19. He has been quarantined for ten days in advance of the limited-overs series against New Zealand.

“Mohammad Nawaz tested positive for Covid-19” stated the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), in a statement.

Nawaz was one of the 15 Pakistani squad members that were due to face New Zealand between September 17 and October 3.

The ODIs are scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi, September 17, 19, and 21, while the T20 Internationals take place in Lahore, September 25, 26, 29, and October 1, respectively.

Limited-overs cricket will have a 25% capacity. New Zealand’s cricket team will travel to Pakistan on September 11, and they will be in isolation for three days on September 12, 13, and 14. They will practice matches on September 15-16
