On Tuesday, Luke Wright, former England all-rounder from England was signed by the New Zealand Cricket Board as part of their coaching staff for their limited-overs tour to Ireland, Scotland and Netherlands.
Along with Wright, Dion Ebrahim and Dean Brownlie, and Luke Ronchi, Graeme Aldridge and Shane Jurgensen, will be part of the set up.
ESPNcricinfo reported that New Zealand’s head coach Gary Stead said, “Alongside the practicality of having an additional set of hands it’s also an opportunity of introducing other voices and skills to the group as well as giving them the opportunity to learn and grow.”
“Dion is a promising head coach on the domestic stage. He will enjoy the Blackcaps’ touring. He said that Luke would provide in-depth knowledge about the UK conditions and draw on his extensive experience in T20 cricket around the globe.”
New Zealand will start their tour in England with a three match Test series at the Lords on June 2, 2022.
