On Tuesday, President Ram Nath Kovind extended Durga Puja greetings and stated that the nine forms of Maa Durga are representative of different aspects of the relationship between life and nature.
“Goddess Durga” is a symbol for power and a divine form ‘nari shakti. Durga Puja celebrates the triumph of good over evil. As Kovind extended his best wishes and greetings to all his Indian and foreign citizens, he said that the nine forms of Maa Durga are different.
“On this occasion, let us resolve that we build a society in which women are treated with greater respect than ever before, ensuring equal participation to the process of nation-building,” said the Rashtrapati Bhavan, quoting Kovind.
The President stated, “I pray that this joyful festival is marked with the spirit of peace fraternity and unity among citizens and we rededicate ourselves towards the service and advancement of our nation.”
