Reliance Retail Ventures Limited, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, 7-India Convenience Retail Limited, entered into a master franchisor agreement with 7-Eleven, Inc. for the opening of 7-Eleven convenience shops in the country.
On Saturday, the first 7-Eleven store will open in Andheri East (Mumbai). To follow, the store will be expanded in key areas and commercial areas of the Greater Mumbai cluster.
RRVL is launching 7-Eleven stores in India to provide a better shopping experience and a compelling value proposition for Indian customers.
7-Eleven stores are designed to offer convenience to shoppers by offering a variety of beverages, snacks, and delicacies that appeal to local tastes. They also have refills of everyday essentials. The store is affordable and clean.
RRVL stated in a statement that the company is working on a rapid expansion plan to make it a major contributor to local employment and to building the eco-system of convenient foods.
SEI will also help RRVL implement and localize the 7-Eleven convenience store model in India. This includes bringing best practices and processes to India.

It is based in Irving, Texas and operates, franchises, and/or licenses over 77,000 stores in 18 regions and countries, including 16,000 in North America.
SEI also operates franchises Speedway and Stripes as well as 7-Eleven locations.
SEI is well-known for its iconic brands like Big Bite, Slurpee and Big Gulp. Now, they offer high-quality sandwiches and salads as well as side dishes, cut fruits and protein boxes.
