Several Athletes, Including Neeraj Chopra, Qualify for the Paris Olympics

The recent Olympic seasons, the number of Indian athletes has seen a consistent increase. In the Tokyo Olympics 2020, India sent its largest-ever contingent with a total of 124 athletes, which was the highest number of Indian athletes sent by the country. India clinched a total of 7 medals in the Tokyo Olympics, with Neeraj Chopra securing a gold medal in javelin throw, making him a household name across the nation. Now, all eyes are on the Paris Olympics scheduled for 2024.

In this Olympic season, India is making efforts to increase its medal tally by expanding the number of its athletes. Trap shooter Bhavani Devi achieved a historic feat by winning the first-ever individual qualification spot for India at the ISSF World Championship.
