The Indian cricket team is all set to face England in their next match on October 29, 2023. Team India has arrived in Lucknow, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video to inform fans about their arrival. The video featured prominent players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah, among others, disembarking from a bus. Team India currently holds the top position in the points table and is very close to securing a spot in the semi-finals.
The BCCI shared a video on Twitter, showcasing the Indian players arriving in Lucknow by bus. The Indian players received a warm welcome and were adorned with garlands. In this video, the captain Rohit Sharma, coach Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj, and KL Rahul were seen. The players were also showered with flower petals. Shubman Gill, Shardul Thakur, Suryakumar Yadav, and Mohammad Shami were among those present.
The upcoming match between India and England in Lucknow is significant for both teams. Team India is in excellent form and has not lost a single match in the 2023 World Cup under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. In contrast, the England team has lost three out of four matches, winning only one. Winning against India in Lucknow won’t be easy for them. In their previous match, South Africa defeated England by 229 runs. Prior to that, New Zealand defeated them by nine wickets, and Afghanistan beat them by 69 runs.
