India targets Pakistan in UN, threatens Lashkar and Jaish terrorist organizations

Terror Group: In the meeting of the United Nations Security Council, India has targeted terrorist organizations of Pakistan. Action has been demanded from India against terrorist organizations.

Terror Group: India on Thursday said the ties between organizations like the United Nations Security Council-banned Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) pose a direct threat to the region. At the same time, India called for integrated international action to ensure that Afghanistan does not become a haven for terrorist groups.

In a veiled reference to Pakistan, India also said that it should be ensured that banned organizations do not get any help from terrorist safe havens located in the region. India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations TS Tirumurti told the UN Security Council meeting on UNAMA that the presence of ‘ISIL-Khorasan’ in Afghanistan and their capability to carry out attacks has increased significantly.

Appeal for action against terrorist organizations

At present, ‘ISIL-Khorasan’ is an affiliate group of the terrorist organization Islamic State, which runs its activities from Afghanistan. Tirumurti cited the findings of a recent report of the Sanctions Committee of 1988, which indicated that existing authorities in Afghanistan needed to take more robust action to meet their counter-terrorism commitments.
